Brady went to the dr. today - he had a neurological development evaluation, basically thats a fancy word for just making sure he is developing properly to see if he is closer to his actual age or his adjusted age! Well turns out - he is right in the middle! We met with a nurse and she just showed Brady a lot of different toys and she wanted to see how he responded. Well, he was interested in EVERYTHING! He did so well at grabbing all of the different toys - he really surprised the nurse when she put a small blue button on the highchair tray and Brady wanted to grab it. Of course his immature fine motor skills won't allow him to pick it up now, but he was trying really hard! The nurse didn't think he would do that, she just wanted to see if he would even be able to realize she put something on the tray - and he did!!!! :)
Before the evaluation was over she checked his reflexes, his hips, then weighed and measured him. He weighed in at 16.2 oz and 24.5 inches long and we can't remember how big his head was!
Not sure if I have mentioned this at all but Brady is also getting ready to roll over!!!!!! He has no interest in rolling when he is on his belly but when he is on his back he has started to arch his back and pretty much getting on his side - he just has to kick that leg over and he will be on his belly!!!! I give him another few weeks and he will be rolling like a pro!
Till next time.... I need my rest!
