So, it was way early on Wednesday morning (probably like 3AM) and I heard Brady making noise but it was a different kind of noise. Kinda like the high pitched scream that he taught himself to do. I thought this was strange because normally he just whines at night. So I quickly got up and I saw that he was half way rolled over (from his belly to his back)... his right arm was stuck under him, even though I really wanted to be able to see him roll over for the first time I really didn't want this to happen at 3AM because 1. I would really wake him up because I would have been screaming with excitement and 2. then I would have to deal with him being awake at 3AM because I was screaming with excitement. I quickly put him back on his belly and went back to sleep.
Fast forward to 6AM - I was just about to get into the shower and Chris called me into Brady's room and said "look he's about to roll over" (again I was excited and really wanted him to do it, but not at 6AM either because then he would be awake and Chris and I had stuff to do before we could play with Brady). So we put him back on his belly and he went to sleep.
After getting out of the shower I was in the bathroom putting on my make-up and Chris said to me "did you roll him over?" I said "No, did you" and he goes "NO" so we both go in there and see that he is on his back just as happy as ever. Well... NOW WE NEEDED TO SEE THIS!!! So, we roll him back over onto his belly and it took him a few moments but he rolled right over onto his back. We both started cheering and telling him what a good boy he was. He definitely thought we were OUT OF OUR MINDS.... we snapped this picture right after the roll-over.
As you can see he looks really shocked... this is his "what the hell is going on face" hahahahaha. I couldn't wait to get home from work that day to just watch Brady roll over again and again but..... he hasn't rolled over since :( (well at least for me). I learned my lesson - never scream with excitement when he does something great, he will never do it again. Just another mommy lesson I have already learned in my short 6 months of Mommyhood! :)
Well, back to cleaning!
XO
Jill
